Shōzō Satō
Shōzō is a professor emeritus of the College of Art and Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. As artist in residence at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, he started presenting kabuki plays and then in 1978 turned to adaptations of western classics with kabuki conventions, including Kabuki Medea, Kabuki Faust and Kabuki Othello.
